Hellllooo arizona
Well friends, here we go once again! Sometime between naps, Dusty arrived in Arizona. See ya next month, Ian.
All in all, travels were smooth and simple. I had my trekking poles, umbrella, pocket knife, and fuel shipped to the hotel ahead of me and all that arrived well.
Grabbed some dinner, got confirmation of my ride to the border tomorrow at noon, and here I lay in the luxurious country inn at the Tucson airport (in reality, it’s actually not bad at all).
I myself am curious as to the next bed I may get. On one hand, I typically spend a night in town as I resupply, clean the clothes (and myself) and so forth. However, with such a “small” trail, the question of whether it’s necessary arises; shall I push forward and potentially finish a few days earlier? Or shall I take my well deserved rest in a bed.
Alas, only time will tell. My eager beaver over achiever egotistical thru hiker self says push push push, I’m a triple crowner, what can’t I do? But when that push comes to shove, I may need some rest so I don’t stumble. I know all too well the reality of that shove (read day 1 of my last attempt of the AZT when I got too cocky).
Tonight I rest, tomorrow the adventure begins!
