Hello all! In our stop in Grand Cayman I have a few things to share.
- Sometimes, it gets tough backstage. Picture this: A big show just started. Maybe you're there for about Five hours including set up and tear down, when do you eat? I'll tell you when, YOU DON'T. Food isn't even allowed back stage. What do you do? You improvise god damnit!
Here's an example of what once was just a common amp, now transformed into... wait for it....
That's right ladies and gentlemen, a microwave complete with a wire out the back for super stealthy 'Waving". Plug it in, insert food item, press start and walk away until done while your hot pocket cooks to lava hot perfection.
Other than that, we've had an uneventful week on my ship. I've been sifting through outdoor blogs like Yonder Journal to feed my hunger of the outdoors. If you get the chance, check out their stuff, the great state of Jefferson should not be overlooked as it's one of my favorite works from them.
I'm so close, yet so far away from April! I absolutely can not wait! I'm hoping to apply for California Conservation Corps when my contract ends in December. That way I'll have a sweet buffer from then and the trail and I'll get in better trail shape! Depending on CCC or other jobs, I might start earlier so I don't die of boredom or excitement until then. I'm also expecting my dad to start the first few weeks of the trail with me, really excited for that!
I'm off guys. I've got an interview later in the day that I must prepare for. Me preparing is laying in my hammock for thirty minutes!
Until next time.
